Be Careful, This Can Cause Baldness

Baldness is a condition when hair is released or falls out, which is generally permanent. This problem is certainly an annoying thing, both for men and women, because it can cause feelings of insecurity with appearance. Actually, what are the things that cause baldness? Here are some of them.

1. Lack of Vitamins and Minerals

Many people who go on a diet in order to achieve ideal body weight. A diet with a reduced portion of food is one of the most common diets done by most people. However, not only does the weight drop, hair growth can also be reduced because of this.

Reducing the portion of food results in a lack of nutrients the body needs to be able to carry out activities. One of the nutrients that affects hair growth is iron and protein. Reducing 2 nutrient intake can result in decreased hair growth. If the diet is like being done continuously, it could be hair that can run out or bald.

2. The habit of tying hair too tight

Binding hair is a common thing for most women. It could be due to overheating reasons or because the hair is annoying, it was decided to look for a rope or rubber to tie the hair. Conscious or not, sometimes women tie their hair too tight. This can be one of the causes of hair loss. If done continuously, hair ties that are too hard can lead to baldness.

3. Thyroid Gland Problems

The thyroid is a gland located in the front of the neck that is shaped like a butterfly. Having problems with the thyroid gland can cause many problems, one of which is a problem with the hair. Like hypothyroid for example, which is a condition when the thyroid gland does not work properly. Experiencing this problem can result in disruption of hormone production, so that it can affect hair growth in the head.

4. Trichotillomania

Trichotillomania is the name given to the habit of pulling hair either hair on the head or hair in other parts. Although it is still unclear whether entering into a habit or an abnormality, the consequences caused by trichotillomania remain the same.

The more often pulling or pulling hair on the head will cause the appearance of bald areas. If the habit of pulling out the hair is stopped, usually the hair will grow back. However, trichotillomania activity that has been going on for a long time, can result in permanent hair loss.

Many infections are known to cause hair loss. However, there is no need to worry because only a few infections can attack the scalp, resulting in baldness. The infection is called Ringworm.

Ringworm infection is not an infection caused by worms, but is caused by fungi. The fungus that can cause baldness is the Tinea Capitis fungus. Tinea Capitis is a fungus that can grow well on a damp scalp and is not kept clean. Even though it is more common in children, it is possible for adults to get this fungus.

Chemotherapy is a health solution for people who have cancer. A little explanation, cancer is a serious problem when body cells divide or develop much faster than normal cells, and chemotherapy is said to be an effective way to stop the rapid growth of these cancer cells.

However, not only can cancer grow rapidly, the hair follicle is also one of the cells in the body that has a fairly fast growth. Because the purpose of chemotherapy is to inhibit the growth of cancer cells, accidentally, hair growth will be suppressed.

7. Stress

There are no humans who live without stress, all must have experienced stress. Both mind and physical stress, both can have a bad effect on the body. Prolonged stress can affect hormones and body metabolism. This can lead to Telogen Effluvium, a condition when hair growth is disrupted because it is caused by prolonged stress.
